Psychological counseling can offer a safe container to can offer you safe container to heal and grow, with a structure of weekly or bi-monthly accountability. We will collaboratively set goals for your unique counseling experience. I can offer tools to deal with various challenges, psychoeducation and resources around sexual and relationship difficulties, as well as a shame-free, safe container to explore what is happening in your life and space to develop insights into your actions and past wounding. Counseling can help create more intentionality and grounding in your day to day life.
I am committed to providing a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and patterns. Therapy is most effective when you are motivated for insight and change.
Your First Session:
In your initial session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals, concerns, and the factors prompting you to seek therapy. During our first or second session, we will also do a psychological intake, which is an in-depth interview into your history, which will help frame the therapy.
Therapeutic Approaches:
I employ a range of evidence-based approaches:
Humanistic Therapy: Foster personal growth and self-actualization, emphasizing your inherent potential, and guided by you.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Cultivate body-awareness to enhance presence and manage stress.
Psychodynamic Therapy: Explore how inner child wounds and limiting beliefs show up in your life.
Strength-Based Therapy: Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with you, focusing on what’s right with you and what is adaptive as well as what patterns you want to shift.
“My sessions with Becky were such a worthwhile investment in myself. The sessions were so enriching, it gave me so many new practical skills to build off of beyond the sessions. Becky is so good at giving clear and useful assignments based on each session so I am able to really integrate the work into action in my life/dating life. I feel that I have grown so much and regularly refer back to work that I did with Becky now, even a couple months down the road. Therapy with Becky is a worthwhile investment no matter your relationship status. ”
